I can't believe CBC let you go. You were the pinnacle of my generation; hearing that theme music I KNEW it was Hockey Night in Canada. You were part of my dads generation, my grandfathers generation, part of the lives of everyone I know and knew growing up! I wonder with the over commercialization of the NHL now what the new theme song will be? Knowing Canadas luck probably something with viagra.

I just came back from a weekend of camping. It was nice.
But I'm still too lazy to really write about it or finish one of the drafts I had started.

The song was just symbolic, that's all. TSN kind of took the little brother all of us had on Saturdya and shot him in the head on this one. Everyone in Canada has heard that song every Saturday when they were either out with friends, watching the playoffs or just sitting at home and decided to watch the game.
It's even worse since they want to make this the new hockey night in Canada song:
